Useful Information
- sandboards slide with the use of candle wax rubbed on laminate, laminate is the hard surface used on kitchen benches. Sandboards slide once the wax starts to come off and go for about 20-200m.
- very hot or wet sand are not slippery and wet sand is hard to land on.
- smooth sand like a couple of days after rain or wind is quicker.
- don't kill plants as they make for near by jumps and stop the dunes being removed from wind, perhaps even plant your own seeds.
- rampage boards don't float unless you attach a piece of foam betwen your foot straps.
- don't die of a heart attack, drink lots of water before sandboarding and if you cut youself use the old natural undefeated antisceptic urine.
Will
There is a lake at the bottom of this dune with a water jump to cool off. It's also the best dune at Wanda when the wind is southerly.
It's easier to walk back up dunes in old foot prints and saves the track
